Returns/Exchange Policies

Stock Items

Customer satisfaction is a priority. Any item purchased from taviametal may be exchanged unworn within 7 days of arrival in original, undamaged packaging. We do not refund shipping charges on exchanged items and new shipping charges will be billed to the customer and must be paid prior to shipment.

In the situation of a gift, in which it is sometimes hard to be sure you are choosing the perfect item, the above policy stays in effect and we will happily work with the recipient to be sure of their delight.

Please contact us if you are requiring an exchange and we will gladly work with you to ensure your satisfaction.

Custom Orders

Because of the client-specific nature of commissioned pieces, they may not be exchanged or returned for a refund under any circumstances due to the personalized nature of the items. Cancellation of a custom order may cause forfeiture of the deposit, or portion of, depending upon time of concellation. Every care is taken to ensure that commissioned pieces are created according to the client's wishes, using such measures as prototypes for fitting, visits or emailed photos of pieces in process, and extensive communication all during the process. Commissioned jewelry will be completed and shipped in the time frame agreed upon during discussions of the commissions.

You should know that commissioned pieces are photographed upon completion for our records and/or for inclusion in the artist's portfolio. This may include usage on this website, in marketing materials and in the related blog. Whenever a commissioned piece is featured online or in marketing materials, information regarding the piece may be included, i.e. technical specifics, materials, the intended symbolism of the piece, and the purpose in commissioning the piece, i.e. wedding, honoring a family member, etc. All designs are property of taviametal.


Repairs on taviametal jewelry will be serviced free of charge by taviametal within 7 days of purchase for fabrication defects. Thereafter, or for non-fabrication defects, repairs will be billed per item based upon the repair needed.

Jewelry Care

Keep jewelry in an airtight container like a jewelry box to discourage tarnishing, a natural process that occurs when metal is repeatedly exposed to air, and chemicals. If tarnishing occurs rub gently with a soft cloth. Polishing agents and solutions are not advised, they may alter the finish of the metals, stones, or other materials used. Please avoid detergents and chemicals.

Taviametal accepts all major credit cards. Financial information is collected securely by Paypal (online) or Merchant Card Services (locally) and is never stored by taviametal. Email addresses and other contact information are kept securely as a matter of studio records by taviametal. Client requests to opt out of receiving any email correspondence are (always) honored. (Forgive us if human error occurs occasionally).
